Biography

Maloy

Maloys destiny was maybe decided from the moment she learnt to walk and talk. Not only being born in the Philippines where singing and entertaining is in their blood, her family enjoy their own successes in the world of music. For example Maloys brother is a well respected concert pianist.

Maloy came to Germany in 1986 to work as a singer for a popular Top 40 band. Over the years she became very accustomed to the European concert goers and their musical tastes which made her live performances more interesting for high class events.

2006 a producer friend from Maloy gave her the tip that the international and very successful DJ and Producer Shaun Baker was searching for a unique voice for his latest production. Maloy called and came to the studio to sing V.I.P.. Nobody could have guessed just how big this song would be, not only did it become a big dance hit in Germany but went on to break all records in Poland & the Czech Republic. V.I.P. hit the #1 sale & airplay charts in both countries, plus the 2007 year charts.

The follow up single Power landed the #1 position at iTunes Germany and proved to be a hit in Poland & the Czech Republic.

But the really big HIT was yet to come in the shape of Hey Hi Hello at the Sopot Hit Festival which is classed as one of Polands most prestigious music awards. Hey Hi Hello was voted as the #1 international hit of 2008. Hey Hi Hello took the pole position in the sale and airplay charts and held it for six weeks in Poland. In the Czech Republic Hey Hi Hello hit the #2 slot. The release date for Germany is planned for the beginning of 2009.

End of 2008 and the first ballad from Maloy will be released. Could You Would You Should You based on the film soundtrack from the fairytale Three Nuts for Cinderella, a very popular film which is screened multiple times every year for over 30 years in most European countries around the festive season. The fairytale feeling and atmosphere is reflected in the new video and stays in line with the original German/Czech coproduction from 1974. Of course Shaun Baker rounded the whole story off with an up-tempo dance version for which complete new vocals where recorded.
